Direct Candidate Application will be back
Few months back, we disable the Direct Application feature on Zyoin.com. This lead to all profiles coming through reference alone and it improved our overall quality of resume. But at the same time, our call volume increased and that was primarily by direct candidate. All candidates had the same question on why they are not allowed to apply directly. Infact, many of the candidates were actually good and have worked in real good companies. Our suggestion to all those candidate was to get your candidature referred by some known contact.
We did more analysis on why we are not allowing direct candidate application and concluded that we want better quality resume and we do not have enough bandwidth to review all the incoming resumes. So we are coming up with a new solution. Now, we will be opening up for direct candidate application and as soon as some one applies, we send his application to our preferred referrers. If any of those speak to the candidate and find him suitable for Jobs listed on Zyoin.com, they can refer the candidate to us. This way we are incentivising our referrer community and at the same time, we are not missing on few real qualified candidates.
